The JessicaLynn Fitness studio is a private space for anyone looking to build a healthy, affordable and sustainable lifestyle with holistic wellness practices.

Our MISSION is to enable our clientele to Live Well, Eat Well and Be Well every day through the enjoyment of our studio community, many resources and those of our local, small businesses.  

Offering personal training, low-impact small group classes, wellness planning, nutritional consultations and wellness workshops, we’re here to guide you into the healthy lifestyle that you deserve.

Last, but not least, private parties and space rentals are also available!  Book the studio for your birthday or bachelorette party, a charity event, your next team-building outing, a private class, girl’s night or if you’ve got something else in mind, give Jess a shout and start the planning process today!  

(Liquor licencing and local catering is absolutely an option.)

SMALL GROUP CLASSES:

Barre Sculpt - A toning and tightening class using varying levels of resistance and your own bodyweight for a full-body sculpt. Pilates, ballet and yoga-inspired sequences. This one will be timed to the music and incorporate the ballet barre!

Pump! - An awesome full-body workout all within your own space with individual equipment; no moving from station-to-station in this one. Become familiar with the movements and work within your limits.

Booty BURN/Lunch Hour BURN - Anything goes!  Structure and equipment will vary from day-to-day in this class.  High emphasis on lower body and core strength with short cardio bursts.  Options will be given for all levels!

Lunch Hour Core - Abs, Obliques, Lower Back and Butt!!!  30 mins of pure CORE!

Gentle Yoga - Join us for a moment to just... slow... down.  Come and learn asanas (poses), proper alignment and technique.  This is a gentle class, wonderful for anyone looking to relax the body and calm the mind.

Roll & Restore - (coming soon) Using the foam rollers, we will begin with a core strengthening sequence in each of these classes.  Then, finish by using the rollers as a massage tool for tight muscles, increasing flexibility and shortening recovery times.

Stand Up Paddleboarding - Join Jess, June through September, and head out to the lake to learn the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding!  From basic skills to turns, footwork, some mini surfing and even yoga sequencing, this is a super FUN class for anyone who enjoys the water and wants to experience our Sarnia shoreline in a new way this summer.  Private classes, workshops and weekend retreat options can be worked out!


ABOUT JESS:

Before going away to University, I had never been in a gym and was actually a little apprehensive about it.  I was always active, growing up trying several team sports before falling in love with competitive Synchronized Skating.  For over 10 years, the Bluewater Blades were a part of my family and kept me in great shape growing up. Fast-forward to my 3rd year at the University of Guelph and a few pant sizes later, I realized something needed to change -- apparently Mom's regular meals and 6am morning practices were actually good for me!  This was when I joined my first gym, hired a Personal Trainer and fell in love with the "high" of fitness and control it brought back into my life.

After graduating in 2009, I jumped right into the health and wellness industry working first as a management trainee.  Quickly realizing I wanted to be more involved in the clients’ journey once they were actually in the gym, then began the process of adding fitness certifications to my repertoire.

• Bachelor’s Degree, University of Guelph (2009)

• Personal Trainer Specialist, Can-Fit-Pro (2009)

• TRX Suspension Training Coach - Level 3 (2011)

• Natural Health Fundamentals, Alive Academy (2015)

• Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor - Level 1, World Paddle Association & Paddle Into Fitness (2017)

• YogaFit - Level 2 Instructor (2018)

• First Aid & CPR

• Continuing Education Courses: Nutrition for Special Populations, Nutrition for Sport and Exercise, Vegetarian Nutrition, Holistic Health, Back and Shoulder Training, Program Design, Special Populations (injury & rehabilitation/pre- & post-natal).

Now, as a holistic wellness planner and fitness trainer, I work with clients whose goals range from fat loss to reducing health concerns, rehabilitative training to sports conditioning, and in my BURN Program, meal planning and sustainable lifestyle changes as well.

The best part of this career path has been seeing from day-to-day the change I can encourage in someone's life; it is so rewarding to go home at night knowing I’ve had a small part in a client’s positive transformation

I am so happy to be offering my own RIVERSIDE studio space at The Cove Mental Health & Wellness and can't wait to see where this exciting chapter leads us!  It has definitely been a journey and I'd like to thank you all SO MUCH for your continued support along the way. xo ~Jess⚓️
