Yin yang yoga
Emily has been practicing yoga across the globe for over half of her life. After making the choice to take her practice to the next level, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Training Course at The Yoga House Institute in Taitung, Taiwan. Upon moving back home to Sarnia after 4 years in Asia, Emily began her journey as a Mindfulness Yoga Instructor in 2014. She spends her days in the classroom as an Elementary School teacher, but continues to teach yoga for the pure love of it and to bring a little peaceful grounding bliss to the lives of others.
What to expect from the class:
Emily’s main style of yoga is a Mindfulness Hatha combining contemplative Yin postures (passive poses held to target dense, deep connective tissues and joints), with a more active Yang flow (focus on blood flow, building strength, stamina and flexibility). Every class has a different focus but will always include a guided meditation, functional movement with smooth flows and holds to condition the body and allow you to feel more balanced in everyday life on and off the mat. A big focus on mindfulness and breath work, will help to fine-tune and balance the nervous system, quieting the mind for a blissful Savasana.
The first Yin Yang Girl Gang Yoga session will be offered Tuesday’s from 6-7 p.m. from October 30th until December 18. The cost of the 8 week session is $100.
The first 3 people to register will get 20% off the cost of the 8 week session.
